AN IDEA HELD FIRMLY IN MIND

I am unaware of who wrote this but I ran across it at least three decades ago. If anyone knows who the author is, I would like to know.

An idea held firmly in mind attracts
to it the necessary conditions
for the expression of itself.
The outside world won’t respond
to me until I know who I am
and then all else shall follow.
You can demonstrate anything
you chose to.
You must first accept it
with an inner exuberance that erupts
through the skin and joins
the energy that created the world.
Time is the thing that keeps everything
from happening all at once.
Never be concerned about critics.
Whatever your lot in life —
build something terrific on it.
