‘HAUPTSACHE ICH’

2018 Mirror Image Edutainment, Alan John Mayer

There is a German saying, I believe made up by my mother or maybe she learned it from her older faschist sisters “Hauptsache Ich”.  It means, “the main character is me” I only ever heard her use it to describe others, never herself.

It wasn’t until much later I learned projection is a way to ignore our own shortcomings by placing our thoughts and feelings onto others.  In this way, we never have to face the truth about ourselves.  Only prayer helps, and here is my prayer for today.

There is one life.
This life is God.
This life is perfect.
This life is my life now.
I wish I had a pussy cat.
I accept that if God wills it, I will have a cat.
I let it go for the Universe to decide if I am to have one.
And so it is.

Amen.
