A Walk Down Memory Lane with Blues Legend Janis Joplin

Mirror Image Edutainment, Alan John Mayer

I took a trip down Memory Lane, leaning the Internet, and watched an hour long documentary on the life of Janis Joplin.  I bought her last album, Pearl, released three weeks after her death in 1970.

Her life was an interesting story.  Ostracized by her family and town, her quest to find happiness in drugs…I never knew how smart she was until I heard her put Raquel Welch down in a most erudite way on the Dick Cavett Show.

Check my Facebook page to stream the best of the best in German, English, and even poor little eighteen year-old France Gall performing in Japan — in Japanese.

And now the evening prayer, real quick,

There is one life.
This life is God.
This life is perfect.
This life is my life now.

I am a part of this life.  This life is a part of me with every breath I take.
I accept my good.
I give thanks for my good.
I release my thoughts and lose my self, my body, mind, my soul into breath.

And so it is.
Amen.
