I just realized, Tuesday a year ago, my life turned from a bad dream to a nightmare when I placed my confidence in one who is not deserving of it. The act of forgiveness is ongoing, a never ending quest, so I have come to believe the only purpose in living is to forgive, serve, and seek God — a mighty task, for even the brave.
I rather relate to the Cowardly Lion.
As the 22nd of February passed, I realized my father, biological as he was, had he lived, would be 117. (2018 note: 122) It hit me. Eighteen years I have been spinning my wheels, wandering about aimlessly, in search of a home. God is testing me.
God give me serenity to accept the things that are, the power to change the things that are not, and the wisdom to know the difference.
